SlabHaul ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Velocity Venture Holdings. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the SlabHaul mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers.

Usage Data: We receive information needed to operate the Service, including features accessed, lakes viewed, and account-linked fishing content you choose to submit.

Location Data: When you choose to submit a GPS-tagged bait report, the app requests your permission to obtain your location and sends the report coordinates to our backend. You can use other app features without submitting a report.

Device Information: We collect device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and improving the Service.

AI Requests: AI features are optional. When you use an AI feature, your request and relevant context are sent to the AI service selected for that feature. SlabHaul Cloud routes requests through our backend to an external AI provider. Other supported provider options connect directly to the selected service. Avoid including sensitive personal information in fishing questions.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the Service, including real-time lake conditions and attractor maps
• Personalize your experience with location-specific data
• Operate the free Android beta and manage your account
• Send you important updates about the Service
• Improve the Service based on usage patterns
• Respond to your support requests

Data Storage and Security

We use encrypted connections for the website and supported backend services. Authentication is handled through OAuth and related secure sign-in protocols. A user-selected third-party AI provider may have its own security and retention practices. We do not make a blanket promise here about encryption or retention for every provider or every data store.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide the Service:

• Supabase: Authentication and data storage
• Open-Meteo: Weather data (no personal data shared)
• USGS Water Services: Water level data (no personal data shared)
• ESRI: Map images. Map requests identify the geographic tiles being viewed.
• AI providers: Optional AI requests are processed by the provider selected for that feature.

Data Retention

We retain account information while an account is active and as needed to operate the Service. You may request account deletion through our account deletion page. We will verify account ownership before acting on a deletion request. We do not state a fixed deletion period until the support process and provider obligations are verified.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the Service.
